19,000 Turkeys Is A Lot To Gobble About

CLEVELAND - In historic fasion, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank has once again broken it's own records by obtaining as many as 19,000 frozen turkeys to distribute throughout the hungry and food insecure families around Northeast Ohio, just in time for the holidays.

Last year, GCFB distributed over 4 million pounds of food in November alone and expects to surpass those number in an epic manner this season.

The Food Bank partners with community agencies that collect, donate, distribute and organize food throughout the year, in an ongoing effort to tackle hunger and food insecurity throughout Cleveland. This is in addition to the partnerships they have with other non-profit organizations that allow a sort of synergy that makes giving easy and fun for those who can, and access to nutritious food, for those who need it, easy and attainable.
