Groundhog Day brought a tale of two forecasts. The famed Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania saw his shadow, forecasting six more weeks of winter, while Ohio’s own Buckeye Chuck did not, hinting at an early spring for the region. In other news, Cleveland 13 News kicked off the new year with exciting developments. The network is expanding operations, is fully back on the air, and soon will launch live broadcasts, giving viewers even more timely coverage.

The film, created by Marisa Guterman and Keith Gerchak, is rooted deeply in Cleveland’s culture, using real locations like Playhouse Square and the West Side Market to tell the interconnected stories of five strangers. The Terminal Tower lit up to celebrate opening weekend, and our own Cleveland 13 reporter Kayla Royko makes a special on-screen appearance. With Dennis Haysbert, June Squibb, and Stacy Keach in standout roles, the movie is already being called an instant classic.
