According to investigators, the individual entered the restaurant and placed a food order but quickly became irate over the service. The situation escalated when the person began shouting at employees and then discharged a chemical agent, believed to be pepper spray, at or near staff members on multiple occasions.

Authorities said they intend to charge the individuals involved with aggravated armed robbery, attempted child abduction, and felonious assault. The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office and Prosecutor Jim Flaiz are expected to release more details during a scheduled press conference.

The investigation, initiated by Third District detectives and supported by intelligence from the Second District, revealed that suspects were using at least two stolen vehicles to carry out the crimes. By early afternoon, detectives, aided by the Real Time Crime Center and FLOCK license plate readers, tracked the movement of the stolen vehicles across Cleveland.
