Cavs Set Mascot Night at Rocket Arena as Pistons Come to Town

CLEVELAND, OHIO — The Cleveland Cavaliers will host Mascot Night on Sunday, Jan. 4, when the team welcomes the Detroit Pistons to Rocket Arena for a 2 p.m. ET tipoff. The event, championed by Cleveland-Cliffs, is set to bring multiple mascots from Cleveland-area pro sports to Rocket Arena for fan interactions before and during the game. According to the Cavaliers, mascots will be available on the concourse and will also take part in pregame activities on the court, with appearances continuing throughout the afternoon. Scheduled to attend are Moondog and Sir CC from the Cavaliers, Reggie from Rock Entertainment Group, Pozzie from the Cleveland Charge and Sully from the Cleveland Monsters. The Guardians also are listed as participating with Slider and the “Cleveland Guardians Hot Dogs.” Concourse activations are set to begin at 12:30 p.m. ET, the team said. The Cavaliers said fans can expect additional themed activities on the concourse, including a photo opportunity with cardboard cutouts of Cavaliers mascots, mascot-themed fan tattoos and photo frames, along with other activations. As part of the promotion, each fan will receive an “exclusive Let Em Know Snow Globe” as the gameday giveaway, according to the Cavaliers. The giveaway is also championed by Cleveland-Cliffs.
