Siren’s Curse Launches at Cedar Point as Tallest and Fastest Tilt Coaster in North America

SANDUSKY, OH — Summer just got a whole lot wilder at Cedar Point. I had the chance to be among the very first to ride Siren’s Curse, Cedar Point’s newest roller coaster opening to the public on June 28. As an affiliate for Cleveland 13, I previewed the ride ahead of its grand debut, and trust me, thrill-seekers are in for an unforgettable experience.

Siren’s Curse is not just any coaster. It’s officially North America’s tallest, fastest and longest tilt coaster, taking riders 160 feet into the air before stopping mid-climb, tilting 90 degrees, and dropping into a twisted, two-minute rush at speeds up to 58 miles per hour. With 13 airtime moments, two zero-gravity inversions and a triple-down element, every second of this ride is packed with intensity. I couldn’t wait to get back on.

This coaster isn’t just about speed, it’s about storytelling. Inspired by the myth of Lake Erie sirens luring sailors to their fate, the ride uses on-board audio and LED lighting to immerse you in its eerie theme. At the peak, the train holds silently as the track appears broken in front of you, only to tilt forward and plunge straight down. It’s a moment that had my heart racing, and I’ve been on a lot of coasters.

Earlier this morning, I joined Q104 on-air to talk about my adventure blog, my role with Cleveland 13 News, and my exclusive sneak-peek of Siren’s Curse. It was a blast sharing what it’s like to test a coaster before the public and give our viewers the inside scoop on this record-breaking ride.

Siren’s Curse, located near Iron Dragon and Cedar Point Marina, uses two trains holding 24 passengers each. The coaster’s towering red steel track, designed by Vekoma, mimics Great Lakes shipping cranes and adds a striking silhouette to Cedar Point’s skyline. Riders must be at least 48 inches tall to board.

If you want to see exactly what I experienced, the full video of my ride is now live at Cleveland13News.com. From the first climb to that wild tilted drop, this ride doesn’t let up. Whether you're a coaster enthusiast or just love a good summer thrill, Siren’s Curse is worth the trip.
