The Cleveland Division of Police has arrested several juveniles and identified a 20-year-old suspect in a string of stolen vehicle and car break-in operations across the city’s Second District between October 3 and October 7, 2025, according to multiple police press releases.

No formal charges have been announced. The case remains under investigation and the Mentor Police Department is coordinating with the Lake County Dog Warden to determine whether criminal charges will apply. The dog has been placed in quarantine in compliance with state law.

The incident occurred on the evening of September 5, 2025, but police said they were not called to the scene at the time. “No 911 calls or service requests were made that night,” the city’s official statement noted. Investigators opened a case only after the video began circulating on social media in the days that followed.

Once we got into town we checked into the Courtyard by Marriott located in Downtown Fort Wayne. This hotel is beautiful and is close and sometimes even within walking distance to so many perfect family attractions. We loved the view of the TinCaps field from our room which made for perfect firework shows at night. They do offer a small pool which is indoor only and not the normal size of a hotel pool. Clean rooms and perfect location is what you will get with this hotel.
