Cleveland Mascots, the Cavs Dance Team and Artist Join Local Schools for Special Needs Prom

PARMA, Ohio — The Parma City School District hosted a special prom for students with special needs from across Northeast Ohio on Friday, May 8, featuring several notable guests from Cleveland's sports and arts communities. The event, held at Valley Forge High School, was created to provide an inclusive and celebratory experience for the students. Adding to the festivities were members of the Cleveland Cavaliers Dance Team and popular local mascots, including Moondog of the Cavaliers and Chomps from the Cleveland Browns. The guests interacted with students, helping to create a memorable and exciting atmosphere for all attendees. Local artist Michael Gezze also attended and drew caricatures for the students. Gezze is one of the artists behind the "More Alike Than Different" mural in Cleveland's West Park neighborhood, a public art project that highlights children with special needs in the community.
