Beachwood Startup Launches All-Season Robot for Mowing and Snow Removal

BEACHWOOD, OHIO — A new startup based in Beachwood is aiming to take the physical labor out of the region’s volatile seasonal shifts. Artyom Kojukhov, a Beachwood resident, officially launched Lawncare Robotics this week, introducing an autonomous system built specifically to handle the heavy snow and thick grass typical of Northeast Ohio. While most robotic lawn mowers on the market are designed solely for summer maintenance, Kojukhov’s unit is built for year-round utility, including leaf removal and snowblowing. The technology targets a specific demographic of homeowners who find the physical demands of property maintenance increasingly difficult or dangerous. According to project details from Lawncare Robotics, the primary focus is on residents 50 and older. It is a demographic that faces higher risks of cardiac events or falls while clearing driveways during the intense lake-effect snowstorms that frequently bury the region. By automating these tasks, the company wants to reduce the necessity for seniors to labor in subzero temperatures or humid summer afternoons. Northeast Ohio’s climate presents unique challenges for autonomous hardware, particularly the transition from wet, heavy spring growth to the icy conditions of January. Kojukhov says the robot’s sensors are calibrated to navigate these extremes without human intervention. The startup operates out of the Beachwood area, a community known for its significant senior population and residential properties that require consistent upkeep. Unlike traditional landscaping services that rely on a scheduled crew, this autonomous system is intended to be on-site and ready to deploy as soon as the first flake of snow hits the pavement. The company has not yet released a full list of retail partners but plans to focus initial rollouts within the greater Cleveland area. Residents interested in the technology, or those looking for more information on the unit’s specifications, can reach out through the official Lawncare Robotics website. -------------------- At Cleveland 13 News, we strive to provide accurate, up-to-date, and reliable reporting.
