CLEVELAND, OHIO — The Cleveland Cavaliers are set to host their annual Mental Health Awareness Night, presented by Cleveland Clinic, during the team’s game against the Utah Jazz on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at Rocket Arena, according to a Cavaliers press release.
The event is scheduled to include a pregame “fireside chat” for invited student-athletes and in-arena concourse activations designed to connect fans and students with mental wellness resources and information. The Cavaliers said the programming is intended to promote mental health awareness and highlight community organizations that provide support.
The Cavaliers’ announcement said the pregame fireside chat will run from 4 to 4:45 p.m. in Gilly’s. Cleveland Clinic experts Dr. Lindsay Honaker and Dr. Adam Borland are listed as participants.
Following the fireside chat, the team said there will be a separate pregame period from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m., though the press release did not provide additional details on what is planned during that time.
The Cavaliers also said concourse activations featuring community mental health organizations will take place during the game. The release listed several groups expected to participate, including NAMI Case Western Reserve University, Courage to Caregivers, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Ohio Chapter, Volunteers of America Ohio and Indiana, Beech Brook, Beth Hertz and Joni Allen.
The Cavaliers said the night will also include a 50/50 raffle beneficiary connected to the initiative, though the press release did not specify the beneficiary by name.
The Cavaliers’ game against the Jazz is listed for a 7 p.m. start, with doors and additional arena timing referenced in the release as 5:45 p.m. The Cavaliers did not specify in the announcement whether that time reflects door entry, early activities, or another scheduled element.
The event details were provided in a Cavaliers press release. Cleveland 13 News has not independently confirmed the schedule through separate Cavaliers or Cleveland Clinic public event listings at the time of publication.
