Heights Music Hop Returns This September with Live Performances Across Cleveland Heights

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Heights Music Hop, a free three-day music festival organized by FutureHeights, is set to return from September 19 to 21, 2025, bringing live music and community celebration to four key commercial districts in Cleveland Heights.

Now in its 13th year, the event will begin Friday evening in the Cedar-Fairmount neighborhood, continue Saturday with performances at the Noble Road Library and throughout the Cedar Lee District, and conclude Sunday in Coventry Village. Featuring 36 artists and 22 venues to date, the 2025 festival aims to highlight the vibrancy of the local arts scene while driving foot traffic to area businesses.

“The Heights Music Hop is a great tradition in Cleveland Heights that brings together local artists and local businesses,” said Tony Cuda, Cleveland Heights City Council president, musician, and festival volunteer. “It’s also just a great time – one that connects people from all walks of life through their love of live music!”

Performers will span genres including blues, jazz, punk, alternative, and riff rock. Events are designed for all ages, with family activities and kid-friendly performances featured on Saturday afternoon. Among the highlights is a headline performance by Apostle Jones at the Tavern Company on Lee Road, capping off Saturday night in the Cedar-Lee DORA district.

FutureHeights, the nonprofit organizing the event, sees the festival as a core part of its mission to foster community and economic development in Cleveland Heights and University Heights.

“FutureHeights’ mission is to contribute to a strong, sustainable Cleveland Heights and University Heights through community and economic development, and the Music Hop is a great way for us to put that into action,” said Lee Chilcote, executive director of FutureHeights. “Each year, it attracts thousands of people to celebrate the Heights as a home to the arts and to support local businesses. We look forward to putting on a celebration this community deserves!”

More information, including a full performance schedule and venue list, will be available at www.futureheights.org/musichop and through FutureHeights' social media platforms as the event approaches.
