One of the Only Jewish DJs in Urban Radio Now Spins on Cleveland's WOVU 95.9 FM

CLEVELAND, Ohio — WOVU 95.9 FM, Cleveland’s Urban Alternative, has added a new voice to its Saturday night lineup with the debut of the Everything Is Kosher Show, hosted by Damien Epstein, known professionally as Kosher Kuts. The show premiered on May 24, 2025, at 9 PM and marks a rare inclusion in the format, as Epstein is one of the few Jewish DJs currently featured in urban radio across the country.

“This show represents more than music—it’s about visibility and expression,” Epstein said.

Kosher Kuts brings more than two decades of experience as a DJ in Cleveland’s nightlife, having held residencies at venues such as Barley House, Mercury Lounge, Velvet Dog, Liquid, and Fortress. He has performed at major events for global brands including Red Bull, Grey Goose Vodka, and Jack Daniels, and has entertained celebrities such as Marlon Wayans, Charlie Sheen, JWoww, Bill Bellamy, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kim Kardashian. For the past five years, he has served as the official in-game DJ for the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

WOVU, which began broadcasting in 2018, is operated by Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc., and has positioned itself as a community-centered platform blending alternative hip hop, R&B, soul, and inspirational music. The station now broadcasts both locally on 95.9 FM and nationally through iHeartRadio and Audacy.

With Kosher Kuts joining the fold, WOVU continues building its “All-Star Lineup,” which includes notable talent such as Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Eric Nolan of The O’Jays, Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree DJ Lily Jade, and multi-platinum artist Dave Tolliver of Men at Large. The lineup reflects a mix of musical legacy and creative innovation that is helping reshape Cleveland’s radio scene.

The Everything Is Kosher Show features a blend of hip-hop, R&B, and inventive mashups, focusing on musical connection and community engagement. It airs every Saturday at 9 PM on WOVU 95.9 FM and is accessible worldwide via iHeartRadio and Audacy.
