Tony Award Winning Lion King Musical Roars Into Playhouse Square for Summer Run

CLEVELAND, OHIO — The six-time Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Disney's "The Lion King" has arrived in Cleveland for a limited six-week engagement at the KeyBank State Theatre at Playhouse Square.
The acclaimed musical, which has been experienced by more than 100 million people worldwide, is celebrated for its awe-inspiring visual artistry, unforgettable music, and unique theatrical storytelling. The production is a winner of six Tony Awards, including the prestigious award for Best Musical.
The show brings together a highly decorated creative team, led by Tony Award-winning director Julie Taymor. The production also features choreography by Tony Award winner Garth Fagan and celebrated music from the Tony-winning team of Elton John and Tim Rice.
Performances are scheduled to run through Sunday, Aug. 16. According to Playhouse Square, tickets are currently available for all performances. They can be purchased by calling 216-241-6000 or by visiting playhousesquare.org online.
