Woman Found Deceased Behind Dumpster in Cleveland After Man Seen Leaving Alone

CLEVELAND — Police are investigating the reported shooting death of a woman identified as Melissa Millspaugh near East 128th Street and Buckeye Road, following a 911 call received Tuesday in Cleveland’s District 4.
Dispatch audio from the scene reveals that the incident was classified as a Code 1 for felonious assault. Officers were directed to respond immediately after a call taker reported hearing that a female was possibly deceased. “I got a Code 1, felonious assault, East 128 and Buckeye. Call taker states that there is a female deceased,” the dispatcher announced over the radio.
An anonymous caller reported hearing a gunshot but could not identify the shooter or provide additional details. “The call, anonymous caller heard her shot, unknown who shot her,” the dispatcher said. “Deceased female? Yes, that’s what it’s coming down as. Female deceased.”
Authorities later identified the victim as Melissa Millspaugh. Her condition was initially relayed through the emergency call, but official confirmation from the medical examiner had not been publicly released as of Wednesday evening.
No suspects have been named, and police have not announced any arrests. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
