Each week, Cleveland 13 brings you a quick recap of the stories that had everyone talking. This is The Click Report with Emmy Award-winning News Reporter Denise Zarrella. Here's the impact we've made, and you've helped us make, this year.
(WCTU) — Over the past year, we didn’t just cover the news, we became part of the story. From courtroom steps to flooded neighborhoods, from business grand reopenings to moments of tragedy and healing, we were there. More importantly, you were there too.
This year, Cleveland 13 redefined what local journalism can be. When justice felt unreachable, we got in the car and made the drive. When leadership hid from accountability, we lit the way, with a flashlight and a microphone. When small businesses were barely holding on, we told their stories, and helped them thrive, and when natural disasters devastated communities, you helped us load trucks with food, water, clothes, and comfort, and deliver them right where they were needed.
You watched. You clicked. You shared. You showed us that you want journalism that’s honest, helpful, human, and local. The response was overwhelming, and deeply moving.
So, we made a decision. To pause.
Why the Pause?
In the final weeks of 2025, you may have noticed something unusual. Our regular publishing slowed to a halt. That wasn’t a glitch, it was intentional. We hit pause so we could build a stronger, smarter, faster version of Cleveland 13.
We knew we couldn’t take the next step without a total transformation, and now, it’s happening.
What’s Coming in 2026
In the coming weeks you will see a lot of change and movement as Cleveland 13 returns renewed and reimagined.
Live broadcasting on smart TVs and digital platforms
A new publishing system for faster, real-time updates
More on-the-ground reporters in your neighborhoods
Expanding beyond our current 13 platforms, to reach more people, where they are
We’re upgrading our technology, strengthening our fact-checking, and accelerating our ability to respond to breaking stories; and we’re doing it with one goal...to serve you better.
This is not just a new chapter for Cleveland 13, it’s a turning point for what local news can and should be.
From all of us at Cleveland 13, thank you. Thank you for your support, your trust, and your belief in something better.
Happy Holidays. Happy New Year. And stay close, because 2026 is going to be unforgettable.
