Forks Up, Cleveland’s Mac ’n’ Cheese Festival Returns With Unlimited Tastings

CLEVELAND, OH — Cleveland’s original celebration of comfort food is marking a decade of cheese and competition this spring. The 10th Anniversary Mac ’n’ Cheese Throwdown returns to the Tenk West Bank on March 7, 2026, bringing together 15 to 20 of the region’s most recognized chefs for an all-you-can-eat fundraiser.

The event takes place at 2111 Center St. in the Flats, a historic warehouse venue that’s become a frequent host for the city’s larger community gatherings. It’s an afternoon built around unlimited tastings where guests can sample various takes on the dish before voting for the People’s Choice Award via text message. A separate panel of judges will evaluate entries in two specific categories: Classic and Modern Mac. Attendees can also watch the "Man v. Mac" eating challenge or see who takes home the prize for the Best Dressed Mac.

According to the W.A.G.S. 4 Kids event record, the afternoon isn't just a festival. The nonprofit, formally known as Working Animals Giving Service for Kids, uses the proceeds to provide custom-trained service dogs to local children with mobility issues, autism, and mental health needs. These animals provide independence for families across Northeast Ohio, offering specialized support that’s often difficult to find elsewhere. Since its inception, the fundraiser has focused on turning a love for comfort food into a way to fund the extensive training these service animals require.

Organizers have ensured the event remains accessible to everyone. The Tenk West Bank facility is ADA-compliant, and the festival includes live music, a marketplace for local makers, and a dedicated space for edible art. It’s a family-friendly environment that also addresses food waste in a meaningful way. Any remaining mac ’n’ cheese from the competition is donated to The Ed Keating Center, which supports individuals in addiction recovery on Cleveland’s West Side.

Tickets for the event are available now through the official ticketing partner, Showpass. General admission includes unlimited samples from all participating vendors between 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. More information regarding the chef lineup and volunteer opportunities is available at the official event website, macncheesethrowdown.com.
