SEVEN HILLS, OHIO — The city of Seven Hills officially reopened its newly renovated fire station last Friday, unveiling a facility designed to prioritize both emergency readiness and the long-term health of its first responders. Mayor Anthony D. Biasiotta led the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside state Sen. Jerry Cirino, of District 19, and various city officials who gathered at the Summitview Drive headquarters. According to the city of Seven Hills, the department partnered with Dr. Eric Yeh and representatives from the University Hospitals Parma Sleep Medicine Center to design the area. The quarters were built to meet specific UH sleep lab standards, a move intended to help firefighters recover more effectively between the high-stress calls that define their shifts. It is a unique collaboration that recognizes how sleep deprivation can impact the safety of both the crew and the residents they serve. Beyond the sleeping area, the station saw significant structural and interior improvements. The project included an expanded locker room to accommodate the growing needs of the personnel and a new training room for ongoing certification and drills.
