CLEVELAND 13 (WCTU) — Regal Cinemas is celebrating the magic of Harry Potter with a “Back to Hogwarts” event that includes a sweepstakes for fans to win an exclusive Hogwarts trunk filled with themed merchandise. The promotion, which began July 1, will run through October 1, and coincides with the return of all eight Harry Potter films to theaters from August 23 to 31 for $9.75 per ticket.
To enter the sweepstakes, fans are invited to follow Regal on social media and comment with the hashtag #BacktoHogwartsRegalSweepstakes. The trunk includes a collection of items such as a Hogwarts school trunk, Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, a Gryffindor robe, a chocolate frog, a Gryffindor scarf, Harry Potter’s wand, a Hogwarts Express notebook, and a Hedwig soft toy.
“This is the coolest thing. I would love to have this.. please,” wrote a commentor on Regal’s Facebook page, adding the required hashtag. Another fan commented, “Omg I want this so bad it would be perfect for my growing collection. We do a Harry Potter themed Christmas tree and this would look so cool next to it.”
The movie marathon gives fans the opportunity to experience the entire saga on the big screen once again, with ticket pricing cleverly set at $9.75, or “nine and three quarters.” Some fans expressed excitement about the nostalgic event, with one fan noting, “My daughter and I did this years ago over 3 days and it was a blast. If you have the time and the energy it is wonderful. Seeing these movies back on the big screen is a great experience.”
Regal has teased a special announcement set for July 31, coinciding with Harry Potter’s birthday. Fans are encouraged to check back for what the company has called a “magical surprise.”
