New 1,200-Capacity Venue to Open in The West Bank of the Flats in 2025
CLEVELAND - The Flats of Cleveland are set to gain a new landmark with the opening of Globe Iron, a 1,200-capacity live entertainment venue located in the heart of the city's West Bank Flats district. AEG Presents, a leader in concert promotion, in partnership with Jacobs Entertainment, Inc., announced the venue's debut, scheduled for March 1, 2025. This project aims to reinvigorate the site of the historic Globe Iron Works Foundry, originally built in 1853, by preserving its architectural charm while providing modern amenities.
Jason Rogalewski, Senior Vice President of AEG Presents Great Lakes, stated, “Cleveland has been a focus for AEG Presents since renovating the iconic Agora 6 years ago. With a design focused on the best live experience, Globe Iron will be a must-play venue in the region.” Rogalewski emphasized that the venue would feature state-of-the-art sound and lighting, perfect sightlines, and amenities designed for both artists and fans, further enhancing Cleveland's reputation as a major tour destination.
Globe Iron will host a diverse range of musical performances and special events, including up to 150 additional events annually. The venue's versatile spaces include an indoor concert hall and an open-air courtyard, catering to concerts and bespoke corporate functions, weddings, conferences, and fundraisers. This adaptability makes Globe Iron a prime location for any celebration or event, offering a stylish cocktail area and a stunning reception space.
Patrick McKinley, Executive Vice President of Jacobs Entertainment Inc., expressed excitement about the collaboration with AEG Presents, saying, “We are thrilled to continue our strong relationship with AEG Presents. Jacobs Pavilion has been a great success, and we look forward to the same with Globe Iron for years to come.” This partnership builds on their success at Jacobs Pavilion, a premier outdoor amphitheater in Cleveland.
AEG Presents continues to demonstrate its commitment to Cleveland's cultural landscape, adding Globe Iron to its portfolio, which includes the legendary Agora Theatre and the esteemed Jacobs Pavilion. With the venue's opening, Cleveland's residents and visitors can anticipate a new chapter in the city's live entertainment offerings.
Cleveland 13 reports that while digital renderings of Globe Iron are not yet available, further details about the venue's programming will be unveiled later this year, promising exciting developments for the local music and event scene.
