CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Six Flags Entertainment Corp. announced a new strategic partnership Thursday with Travis Kelce, the three-time Super Bowl champion and Cleveland Heights native. The deal designates the NFL tight end as a brand ambassador for North America's largest regional amusement park operator. Throughout the 2026 season, Kelce will provide marketing support and create digital content for the company's extensive portfolio of parks. The agreement allows Six Flags to use Kelce's name, image and likeness across various channels. This includes broadcast media, streaming platforms and marketing materials displayed inside the parks. While the company did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, the move comes as Six Flags continues to invest in new thrill rides and family attractions following its high-profile merger with Cedar Fair. John Reilly, the president and chief executive officer of Six Flags, noted that Kelce is a natural fit for the role because he grew up visiting the company's iconic parks with his family. Reilly said Kelce's personality and commitment to excellence on the football field will translate well to the guest experience. Kelce, who often returns to the Cleveland area for his annual Kelce Jam music festival, noted that these parks were a hallmark of his childhood and the scene of many cherished memories. He said he is excited to help introduce a new generation of fans to the parks as the company enters its next chapter. Six Flags currently operates 26 amusement parks and 15 water parks across the United States, Canada and Mexico. The company's reach expanded significantly after the merger with Sandusky-based Cedar Fair, bringing properties like Cedar Point and Kings Island under the same corporate umbrella as Six Flags Great Adventure and Magic Mountain. According to the Six Flags corporate record, the company also manages a location in Saudi Arabia and holds licensing rights for major intellectual properties: DC Comics, Looney Tunes and PEANUTS. The company continues to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol FUN. -------------------- At Cleveland 13 News, we strive to provide accurate, up-to-date, and reliable reporting.
