Cavs Bring Swensons to Rocket Arena for 2025/26 Season

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers and Swensons Drive-In Restaurants announced a multiyear partnership today, that will bring the Akron-founded burger brand to Rocket Arena beginning with the 2025–26 NBA regular season, adding two new concession locations on the Street and Loudville Level concourses. “By welcoming Swensons to Rocket Arena, we’re adding a celebrated local favorite to our lineup and deepening our commitment to expanding our culinary offerings to continue creating an elevated fan experience,” said Allison Howard, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for the Cavaliers.

The deal centers on in-venue food service and fan engagement. Swensons will serve its Galley Boys, Potato Teezers, fries and other items at Cleveland’s primary sports and entertainment venue. The brand will sponsor a promotion that triggers anytime an opposing player misses two consecutive free throws; fans will receive an offer to redeem free Potato Teezers at any Swensons location the day after the game.

Swensons will be integrated into Cavs Rewards, allowing fans to earn rewards points for purchases made at Swensons locations after linking a credit or debit card through the Cavaliers’ mobile app or website. Fans can join and learn more at Cavs.com/Rewards.

Founded in Akron in 1934, Swensons operates across Ohio and emphasizes car-side service, handspun milkshakes and sides. “Swensons has always been about creating legendary experiences; from a Galley Boy served car-side to going ‘All In!’ on the Cavs at Rocket Arena. We’re stoked to join forces with the Cavaliers to bring our phenomenal flavors to fans and be part of moments that matter both on and off the court. Go Cavs!” said Dan Mesches, CEO of Swensons Drive-Ins.

The Cavaliers, part of Rock Entertainment Group, play at Rocket Arena in downtown Cleveland. The team won the NBA championship in 2016 and has multiple Eastern Conference titles. The organization highlighted the partnership as a continuation of its investment in local culinary offerings and fan experience.

“Swensons is one of Northeast Ohio’s most beloved food brands, and we know just how much the community, our fans and our team love their food. This partnership is a testament to our shared dedication to community and local legacy, both on and off the court,” Howard said.
