Santa Claus Talks Cleveland, Technology, Corned Beef and Holiday Spirit in Live Interview

CLEVELAND, OHIO - The one and only Santa Claus made a special appearance on Cleveland 13 News tonight. Thanks to a collaboration between the producers at Cleveland 13 and some helpful elves from the North Pole's public relations department, a live feed was established for a one-on-one interview with Santa Claus. Santa joined the team remotely from the North Pole, providing insight into the preparations for Christmas and the magic that allows him to travel the globe on Christmas Eve.

During his time with the Cleveland 13 News team, Santa shared his love for one of Cleveland's iconic dishes - corned beef. While children around the world leave cookies and milk for Santa, Kenny from Corky and Lenny's deli in Cleveland always leaves a warm corned beef sandwich and a kosher dill pickle for Santa on his annual visit. Santa even revealed an amusing incident where Kenny almost landed on the naughty list for forgetting the pickle, only for Santa to discover it hidden at the bottom of the bag.

But beyond the culinary delights of Cleveland, Santa emphasized the importance of love, family, and the warm Christmas spirit. He expressed that these elements are his favorite part of the job, spreading joy and making memories for families around the world.

In a heartwarming announcement, Santa will be making a special appearance at Canine Castle in Maple Heights on Saturday, December 9th, from 10am to 1pm. He invites all Clevelanders to bring their furry friends and capture a memorable picture with him.

During the interview, Gremi, of Cleveland 13 News and the Host of 'Cleve-It To Us', mentioned an incredible initiative in partnership with the North Pole and the National Federation of the Blind (NFB). Until December 15th, parents can reach out to the NFB to request a custom Christmas or Holiday letter in braille for their visually impaired or blind children. This inclusive effort ensures that every child can experience the joy of receiving a personalized message from Santa. Click Here to learn more.

To stay connected with Santa and get a glimpse into the happenings at the North Pole, Clevelanders are encouraged to follow him on TikTok and Instagram. On TikTok, Santa can be found at @SantaCorky, where he has amassed over 2 million followers. He frequently goes live, offering viewers an inside look at the magical world of the North Pole.

Santa's visit to the Cleveland 13 News team brought holiday cheer and a reminder of the importance of love, family, and spreading joy. As Christmas approaches, let's embrace the spirit of giving and make lasting memories with our loved ones.
