LORAIN, Ohio — Born out of the silence of the COVID-19 pandemic, Good Mix Music has grown from a creative outlet into one of Cleveland’s most vibrant live bands. The 12-piece ensemble, founded by bassist Bob Sinkovic, is set to perform Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at the historic Lorain Palace Theatre, offering audiences a powerful and nostalgic tribute to the golden eras of the 1970s and 1980s.
“Been doing music since 15 years old. Played on 5 national albums, Amy Grant’s 2nd album, played with B.J. Thomas. Was a pioneer with the Marty McCall and Fireworks group introducing Christian Rock to America and Canada,” Sinkovic said.
Unable to perform for live audiences during the early pandemic, Sinkovic brought together a diverse group of seasoned local musicians and began posting performance videos to YouTube. The videos quickly resonated, drawing over a million views and building a loyal international following, including a strong fan base in Manila, Philippines. “This group should be playing theatres all over Ohio. We are very big in Manila Philippines trying to tour there in 2026,” he said.
Now, Good Mix Music is bringing its show from the screens to the stage, promising a night that captures the rich emotion, groove and cultural energy of the music that defined a generation. With a lineup that includes four lead vocalists, a three-piece horn section, keyboards, bass, lead guitar, congas and drums, the band recreates the powerful sound of artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Fleetwood Mac.
The ensemble's members, all accomplished Cleveland-area performers, bring a wide range of experience and stylistic depth to the stage. Among them are soulful vocalist Sungjoon, known for his rich tone and emotional delivery, and guitarist Larry Mitchell, whose decades of national touring and genre-blending artistry bring both polish and passion to each performance.
Adding another layer to the live experience, the Good Mix Dancers perform choreographed routines that complement the band’s sound with movement and rhythm, creating an immersive show that blends sight and sound into a seamless homage to the era.
The venue amplifies the experience. The Lorain Palace Theatre, located at 617 Broadway in Lorain, Ohio, is a 1,400-seat historic theater that has served as a hub for arts and community since 1928. Known for its architectural charm and commitment to performance art, the theatre offers an ideal setting for a show steeped in retro flair and musical excellence.
rs open at 6 p.m. on November 22. Tickets are available now at GoodMixConcert.com, with a limited-time offer for $10 off using the code GM10. You can also get tickets directly from the Lorain Playhouse Theater here.
As the band continues to grow its reach, both locally and abroad, audiences in Northeast Ohio have a chance to witness the energy, authenticity and joy of a group that has transformed a challenging moment in history into a celebration of timeless music.
